Sportster was one of the earlier V.34 modems to come out in the market. Since then, USR has been refining it and keeping it in its portfolio of dialup modems.

000839-09 is a controller based business modem, that can transfer data with a capacity of upto 33.6 kbps. It supports all major operating systems and thus can also be used by businesses running unix, linux or any other OS that leaves room for RS-232 serial cable, in addition to windows users.

Being a business modem, Sportster offers advanced faxing capabilities, that inludes sending faxes to a defined group as well as scheduling the time for fax to go out. You can also create a personalized phonebook and store modem settings.
