Review:
Although almost 4 years old by now, 5610B is still a popular choice among
PC users. It offers some cool advantages over other traditional internal
modems. It is one of the earlier V.92 supporting modems widely available
even now.
To start off, the modem is controller based - means it doesn't take resources
from your computer's CPU. It also supports Linux apart from the "Must
Support Windows" requirement forced by market demand.
Performance Pro offers cool features for heavy users. It also allows for
a gaming mode to be exploited by online gamers. It reduces the time lag
between an action and response, backed by enhanced settings. The mode
can be turned off, once the competition is over.
Equipped with advanced line probing technology, 5610B is well capable
of directing your ISP's equipment on how to escape the bad conditions
that cause slow surfing or even disconnections.
